First thing’s first….
What is the Not Winging It Leadership Club?
It’s a monthly membership for people who are responsible for leading others and want a steady place to think, ask, reflect and take their next practical step.
It is for thoughtful managers and leaders who care about leading well, but do not always have the right place to talk through the situations, decisions and people challenges that come with the role. You might be managing a team, leading in a school, running a small business, or stepping into more responsibility at work. You may look capable from the outside and still find yourself wondering how to handle a conversation, decision or team dynamic well.Inside the club, you’ll have a private membership space, a monthly live leadership support call, practical resources and discussion prompts to help you stop carrying leadership questions on your own. This is not a huge course, a content library you’ll feel behind on, or leadership theory for the sake of it. It is focused support for the real-life moments where leadership asks more of you than your job title prepared you for.And because this is opening as a founding membership, you’ll be joining at the beginning. The club will grow carefully from what founding members actually need, so the topics, resources and rhythm of the space are shaped by real leadership situations, not assumptions.
You don’t have to keep winging it.
Founding member rate of £15 p/m* or £150* a year and get 2 months free.
No minimum term. Cancel anytime.
*Your Founder rate is yours for as long as you stay - no increases.
Why the leadership club exists
Most managers are trying hard to lead well, but many were never really taught how to lead people through the human side of work.
You may have been promoted because you were good at your job. You may run your own business and suddenly find yourself responsible for a team. You may be in a school, department or organisation where people look to you for answers, direction and steadiness.
Then leadership starts asking things of you that technical competence alone cannot solve.
· How do I say this clearly without sounding harsh?
· Am I being too soft, or am I overreacting?
· Do I need to step in, or give this more time?
· How do I support someone without carrying everything for them?
· What is mine to lead here, and what is not mine to hold?
· How do I make a decision when there is no perfect option?
Those are the moments this membership is built for. Not because you are failing, but because leadership is easier to do well when you have somewhere to pause, think and get perspective.
The gap this membership fills
Leadership can feel strangely lonely. You are the person others come to, which can make it harder to admit when you are unsure.
You might not need a full coaching programme. You might not need another course. You might not need formal HR advice. You may simply need somewhere practical and respectful to take the questions that sit between training, policy and the reality of working with people.
That’s the gap The Not Winging It Leadership Club fills.
It gives you a place to slow down the situation, understand what is really happening, and consider your next step with more clarity and intention.
What changes when you have the right support
Same you. Different perspective.
With the right support, leadership does not become effortless.
It becomes less isolating and more intentional.
LIFE RIGHT NOW
You can find yourself spinning a situation round in your head for days, trying to work out what to say, what to do, or whether you are overthinking it.
You might wait until a conversation feels urgent because you are not sure how to approach it without making things worse.
You may try to be kind by avoiding the difficult bit, even when you know something probably needs to be said.
You might feel as though leadership should feel easier by now, or that you should already know what to do.
You are completely winging it.
LIFE WITH THE NOT WINGING IT LEADERSHIP CLUB
Now imagine this instead.
You have somewhere to bring the situation, slow it down and think it through with more clarity.
You can prepare before things escalate, so you feel steadier going into the conversation.
You can think about how to be both clear and respectful, without becoming harsh or carrying everything yourself.
You are reminded that the aim is not to be a perfect leader, but to become steadier, clearer and more intentional in the moments that matter.
The aim is not to ever feel unsure again. The aim is to have support when you do.
The Not Winging-It Way
This membership is built around three simple things.
Steadier
Leadership can knock you off balance.
A tricky conversation. A difficult decision. A team member who is unhappy. A change you need to communicate. A moment when you feel responsible for everyone else but unsure who is supporting you.
Inside the club, you’ll be supported to pause before you react, avoid or over-carry.
Clearer
So much leadership stress comes from not knowing what the real issue is.
Is it a communication issue, a performance issue, a boundary issue, a workload issue, a confidence issue, or a lack of shared expectations?
The club will help you untangle what is happening so you can give your attention to the right thing.
More Intentional
You don’t have to lead like someone else.
You can lead in a way that feels like you, while still being clear, boundaried and responsible.
Being kind is not the same as avoiding things. Being supportive is not the same as carrying everything. Being calm is not the same as staying silent.
The club will reassure you and help you find your way.
What’s included for Founder Members?
The founding version of The Not Winging It Leadership Club includes the essentials.
Enough to support you properly.
Not so much that it becomes another thing to keep up with.
As the club grows, the resources and themes will grow too. But they will grow from real member questions and real leadership situations, not from me guessing what might be useful.
£15 p/m for founder members, or £150 a year (2 months free).
No fee increase as long as you remain a member. No minimum term. Cancel any time.
What you get inside the Club
Private membership space
A private online space where you can introduce yourself, ask questions, share reflections and connect with other thoughtful leaders. You can share as much or as little as feels right.
Monthly live leadership support call
Where appropriate, live call replays will be added to the membership space so you can catch up if you cannot attend live.
Each month, we’ll meet live for a practical leadership support session. Calls will usually include a short teaching or reflection, space to explore the theme, questions or real situations, and one useful prompt or action to take away.
Practical leadership resources
You’ll receive focused prompts, templates or reflection tools to help you think through conversations, decisions and team situations. These resources are designed to help you act with more clarity, not give you more homework.
Replays where appropriate
Monthly support prompt
Each month, there will be a simple prompt to guide discussion and help you notice what kind of leadership support would be useful for you right now.
Respectful group culture
The tone of the club matters. This will be a confidential, respectful and practical space for people who want to lead well and are willing to reflect honestly.
No show-offs or BS in this space! Fun is always welcome, though!
Why join as a founding member?
Founding membership is for people who would rather help shape something useful than wait until it is bigger, busier and more expensive.
As a founding member, you’ll be joining while the club is still small, responsive and being built around the people it is actually for. Your questions, experiences and reflections will help shape the early themes, resources and rhythm of the space.
You’ll also secure the founder rate, which stays in place for as long as your membership remains active. If you cancel and decide to rejoin later, you’ll rejoin at the price available at that time.
The club will grow carefully, but it will not grow by overwhelming you with content. It will grow from real leadership situations, real questions and real member need.
The aim is not to overwhelm you with content, but to create a useful, steady, practical support space that helps you feel less alone in leadership.
A membership doesn’t need to be overwhelming to be valuable.
The Not Winging It Leadership Club is deliberately simple. THAT MATTERS.
What we might cover inside the club
The exact topics will grow from what founding members need, but the themes may include:
· Preparing for difficult conversations
· Giving feedback without making things worse
· Setting expectations clearly
· Knowing when to step in and when to step back
· Managing boundaries as a leader
· Handling tension in a team
· Supporting people without rescuing them
· Communicating direction clearly
· Leading when you feel isolated
· Building trust without trying to be everyone’s friend
· Understanding your own leadership patterns
We will keep the topics practical, the pace manageable, and the focus on one question:
What would help you feel steadier, clearer and more intentional here?
Not sure if this is for you?
The Not Winging It Leadership Club is for you if……
You manage, lead or support other people, and you care about doing leadership well.
It may be especially useful if you are a new manager, a team leader, a school leader, a small business owner with a team, a middle manager, someone recently promoted into a people leadership role, or someone who has been leading for a while but still feels under-supported.
You do not need to be in crisis to join. You belong here if you carry responsibility for others and want somewhere practical, honest and respectful to think leadership through.
And let’s face it, we all like a bit of community where we can empathise and support each other, right?
The Not Winging It Leadership Club is NOT for you if….
You want formal HR advice, legal advice, therapy, counselling or psychological support.
It is not for you if you want someone else to make your decisions, or if you are not open to reflecting on your own part in a situation.
It’s not for you if you don’t want to lead from a likeability point of view, where your team respect and value you as their leader.
It is also not designed to replace one-to-one coaching. If you need deeper individual support, you may want to explore one-to-one leadership coaching separately.
This membership is not for everyone, and that is a good thing.
A note on time
This is designed for leaders who are already busy.
You do not need to consume hours of content to get value. You can attend the monthly call or catch up with the replay. You can use one resource when a situation comes up. You can read a discussion and take one useful reflection from it.
The point is not to add more to your week.
It is to help you stop losing time to overthinking, avoidance and carrying leadership questions alone.
A note on investment
You may feel that leadership support should already exist inside your workplace.
Sometimes it does.
Often, it does not.
This membership is for the gap between being responsible for people and actually having somewhere useful to take the questions, conversations and decisions that come with that responsibility.
If your organisation supports professional development, you may also be able to ask them to fund your membership. Please do reach out to discuss further this option further.

Meet your Club Captain, Sharon
Hi, I’m Sharon, founder of Own Your Leadership.
I created The Not Winging It Leadership Club because this is the space I desperately needed when I was a leader.
I had no formal leadership training. I was literally winging it. Trying to work it all out as I went along, keeping everyone happy, doing everything myself, and trying to look like I had it together, even when inside I was carrying far too much.
And eventually, I burnt out.
Not because I didn’t care, but because I cared so much.
I cared about doing a good job. I cared about my team. I cared about getting things right. I cared about not letting people down. But caring deeply without the right support can take its toll.
And I know how lonely leadership can feel when you don’t have someone to turn to. Or when you do have a mentor, but you don’t want to bother them with the things that feel too small, too messy, too awkward, or too “trivial” to bring up.
Even when those are the exact things keeping you awake at night.
That’s why I created this club.
For leaders who are thoughtful, committed and quietly carrying more than people realise. For the ones who just need somewhere to talk things through. Somewhere calm. Somewhere practical. Somewhere they can ask the question, share the situation, reflect honestly, and feel a little less alone in it.
This isn’t just about learning from me. It’s about learning with and from each other too.
It’s for people who are willing to lean in, support others, share what they’re noticing, and grow alongside other leaders who understand what it feels like.
Because leadership doesn’t have to mean figuring it all out by yourself.
I needed this space.
I would have loved this space.
That’s why I’m creating it for you.
